Are divorce courts open?

In Kentucky, divorce courts are open but whether they are in person or not has been in flux. Kentucky Supreme Court controls the courts and orders come out as appropriate regarding whether the courts will be in person or not, whether masks or other safeguards are required or not, etc. If you are uncertain, then attorney John Schmidt recommends you contact your Court Clerk's office to find out. You can find the Court Clerk for your county by clicking HERE. You can also stay updated on the Covid-19 status of the Kentucky Courts by clicking HERE.

Finding a Good Lawyer

One good way to find a lawyer is to check out their online recommendations, ask friends, acquaintances, or other lawyers and attorneys for referrals and then interview the candidates.
